Data Processed

The app Craft Beer Berlin does not collect any personal data of its user, does not generate usage profiles, does not use any third party analysis or tracking tools, nor does it transfer any personally identifiable information, movement profiles, or similar data over the internet to servers at Apple or elsewhere.

All data, which the user optionally gathers using the in-app purchase „Visits“, are private and not shared with any other users of the app. They remain on the user's device (but optionally can be stored in iCloud for the purpose of backup and shared usage on several devices of the same user).

Acces to External Data Sources

All central functions of the app work on data, which are stored in the app on the user's device. Additional optional data detailed below are obtained from external servers via the internet. The app can be used entirely without access to the internet. In such case the following limitations apply:

  1. no check for possible updates of pub data
  2. no calculations of distances to the craft beer places
  3. no display of maps
  4. no access to third party websites

Access to Update Server

To be able to check for updates (functionality 1), access to the server of the app developer (stahl.uber.space) is required. At times smaller updates of and supplements to the data of craft beer places are provided. No registration of these activities (like user tracking, transfer and collection of location data or the like) takes place when contacting the update server. IP addresses stored in web server logfiles are anonymized by stripping the last 16 bits (resp. 32 for IPv6) by our provider.

Access to Map Servers

To be able to calculate the road distances the the craft beer places (functionality 2), access to the map servers at Apple is required. The privacy rules of Apple apply: This is how we protect your privacy.

For showing maps (functionality 3) the access to Apple's map servers is required (rules as in preceding paragraph). Alternatively, the user can also decide to use the maps supplied by Google or by OpenStreetMap. Wehn using these map services, the privacy policy of Google, respectively OpenStreetMap apply.

Access to Third Party Websites

For showing the contents from third parties (functionality 4), which are selectable on the „Links“ tab, the data protection rules of the resprective party (Yelp, TripAdvisor, Facebook etc) apply.
